This powerful new adaptation is taken from newly discovered writings of the diary of Anne Frank, as well as survivor accounts, interwoven to create a contemporary impassioned story of the lives of people persecuted under Nazi rule. When eight people are forced to hide from the Nazis in a concealed storage attic, we experience the claustrophobic realities of their daily existence - their fears, their hopes, their laughter, and their grief. Each day of those dark two years, Anne's voice shines through.

We are all familiar with the store of marital separations involving the grubby Oscar and his neatnik pal, Felix. In this adaptation, we meet the raunchy, sloppy, undomestic goddess Olive and the prissy to-good-to-be-true perfectionist, Florence. After their marriages break down, the two friends find themselves surrounded by a tight knit group of female friends addicted to Trivial Pursuit nights, and some suave Spanish brothers, Manolo and Jesus, who live upstairs.
