The Diary of Anne Frank

Tara Lynn Barr: Fourteen year-old Tara is thrilled to be making her first appearance within the
Cypress Civic Theatre. A theatre veteran, Tara has performed on stage since the
age of seven, and The Diary of Anne Frank makes her 24th production. Favorite roles
include Annie in Annie, Jo March in Little Women and originating the role of Alice
in John Blaylock’s Wonderland. Tara is also an on-camera performer with numerous
television, film and commercial credits, and can currently be seen as the recurring
character “Haley” on Season 3 of Disney Channel’s The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.
She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television
and Radio Artists.

Dawn Veree Marshall: Dawn is making her debut at Cypress Civic Theatre. Her credits include Vicki in
The Full Monty, Mabel in Pirates of Penzance, Liebeslieder in A Little Night Music
and the Witch in Into the Woods. Dawn is also a mother of two active boys and a
self-taught jewelry designer.

D. J. Palmquist: DJ is making his dramatic debut playing Peter. His past credits include Bill Sykes
in Oliver, Ali Hakim in Oklahoma, General Genghis Kahn Schmidt in Suessical the
Musical and part of the “Save a Soul Mission” in Guys and Dolls. DJ is currently
a music major at Fullerton College. DJ would like to thank his family for their
support and Gretchen for talking him into auditioning.

Rachel Garfield: Rachel is thrilled to be making her debut on the Orange County stage. Rachel is
originally from Portland Maine, where she has performed in a variety of roles including,
Maria in West Side Story, Marta in Company, Cinderella in Into The Woods. Rachel
is grateful to Dale for casting her in this show, and the Cast and Gretchen for
a wonderful experience. Thank you Lord for your faithfulness, Matt for your love
and support, and my family for the love across the miles.

James Manley Green: Jim was last seen as Mayor Richard Daley in The Chicago Conspiracy Trial at the
Odyssey Theatre in West Los Angeles. Some of his previous roles include George Aaronow
in Glengarry Glen Ross, Sam Rogers in Eye of God and Jack Palmer in The Boys Next
Door. Some 20+ years ago, he wrestled Dyan Cannon to a bed on film(really). Much
love to family and friends with inspiration from Zina and Burt L., and thanks to
Dale for the opportunity.

Samantha Stedman: Samantha is pleased to be making her debut at the Cypress Civic Theatre as Margot
Frank. Sam has performed in a variety of roles in both musicals and straight plays.
Some of her favorite roles include: Zaneeta is The Music Man, Glinda in scenes from
Wicked, Mistress in "Evita," Little Red in "Into the Woods," Elvira is "Blithe Spirit,"
and Chick in "Earthlings Beware." Samantha is currently pursuing a theater major
at Cal State Fullerton. Sam would like to thank Dale for this opportunity and her
entire cast for making the whole process so enjoyable!

John Francis: This is John's first appearance on the Cypress stage and he is enjoying the experience.
John has appeared in over 90 productions, has directed over 75 others and has appeared
in movies and television as a background performer and has a co-starring role in
the movie Operation Purgatory coming out this year.

Sheri Scialla: Though she’s been “acting up” all her life, Sheri is a late blooming thespian. Sheri
played the role of Anna S. in the 2005 Metropolitan Arts Conservatory production
of The Nutcracker. Most recently, she played Mrs. Kirby in the 2007 Whittier Community
Theatre’s You Can’t Take It With You. Sheri currently studies with Meisner Technique
coach Fred Panzlou in Long Beach.

Ron McPherson: Ron has studied acting at California State University, Fullerton. His stage credits
include Hot L Baltimore, Edmond, Pachuco 1943, and Curse of the Starving Class.
Ron is currently studying with the South Coast Repertory Theatre acting program.

William Crisp: William is excited to be back at CCTG, having a great part of last year’s Shadowlands
as Warnie Lewis. Most recently, he was seen as Capt. Von Trapp in The Sound of Music
at Whittier Community Theatre. Other favorite roles include Charlie Barker in The
Foreigner

Gretchen Estes: Gretchen is thrilled to be back for her second show with CCTG; the first being The
Odd Couple(the Female Version) in October of last year. She has done over 20 shows
throughout Orange County including A Company of Wayward Saints where she played
an old man by the name of Pantalone. She is currently attending Fullerton College
as a Theatre major and plays percussion in the Crystal Cathedral Hour of Power Orchestra.
She would like to thank Dale, the wonderful cast and everyone at CCTG for making
this a great experience. She dedicates this show to her mother and the memory of
her father for all they have done for her . “Je vais bien, Papa.”

Dale Jones: Dale is glad to be back directing his sixth show at Cypress Civic Theatre, following
Born Yesterday, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Don’t Dress for Dinner, A Christmas
Carol and My Pinocchio. He has directed numerous shows at San Clementre Cabrillo
Playhouse, Main Street Players, and the Curtain Call Dinner Theatre. As an actor,
Dale has appeared at many local venues, including South Coast Repertory. Some of
his favorite roles are Horace Vandergelder in Hello Dolly!, Ali Hakim in Oklahoma!
And Clem Rogers in The Will Rogers Follies. Currently he is appearing with Killer
Entertainment, performing murder mysteries at the Wyndham Hotel in Costa Mesa.
During the day, Dale teaches drama in the Fullerton School District, as part of
the All The Arts For All Kids program, bringing art, music, dance and drama to elementary
school children.
